It’s okay, no one watches the UFL

UFL sideline reporter, Anita Marks, looks like she just finished smoking a crack pipe in the tunnel during the commercial break. She starts by saying she’s “still alive” and then after reporting Lauvale Sape’s ankle injury, she transitions into a breaking news story, get this, he’s Samoan. And then she tells us his family was devastated by a tsunami but their ok and, by the way, he has an ankle injury. Nicely done Anita, nicely done.

New UC Basketball Jerseys

Here are some photos Larry Davis put up on Facebook. Looks like these are going to be UC’s new jerseys. I figured they would have the cat scratches on them. Not sure how much I like them, but I think the black and red jerseys are going to look better than the white ones. Overall I’m a little disappointed with the new uniforms. The Jordan brand uni’s were the best ever.

NFL PICKS – WEEK 5

Joe Rogate | Newsday/MCT

NFL Week 5 – Picks Against the Spread

Lock of the Week

Patriots at Broncos

Pick: Patriots -3

Denver is severely overrated and I think they fall back down to earth in week 5. Denver’s wins have come against the Browns, Bengals, Raiders and Cowboys. Patriots 27 at Broncos 17.

Three Team Parley

Pick: Vikings -10, Giants -16 &  Patriots -3 —- Odds: 6 to 1

I also really like the Vikings at the Rams and the Giants at home against the Raiders. Minnesota has one of the best run defenses in the league and I think they shut down St. Louis, who has struggled to pass the ball all season. Also, expect New York to blow out Oakland. Vikings 35 at Rams 17 & Giants 31 vs Raiders 6.

NFL “Lock of the Week” Betting Record: 2-2

Week 3 – Pick: Giants -9 vs Chiefs – Final Score: Giants 27 at Chiefs 16 – Result: Win

NFL Parley Betting Record: 1-3

Week 3 – Picks: Cowboys -3, Texans-9 & Giants -9  – Final Scores: Texans 29 vs Raiders 6, Giants 27 at Chiefs 16 & Cowboys 10 at Broncos 17 – Result: Loss

NCAA FOOTBALL PICKS – WEEK 6

Mark Cornelison | Lexington Herald-Leader/MCT

NCAA Football Week 6 – Picks Against the Spread

Lock of the Week

Alabama at Mississippi

Pick: Alabama -5

The Crimson Tide have one of the best defenses in college football, if not the best, and I think they handle Ole Miss fairly easily. Ole Miss has a lot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, but I think Jevan Snead is going to have his hands full. Ole Miss struggled to score against South Carolina’s stout defense and I think that happens again this week. Alabama 27 – Ole Miss 13.

Two Team Parley

Alabama -5 & Wisconsin +16 — Odds: 3 to 1

I also like Wisconsin on the road against Ohio State. The Badgers have beat Fresno State, Michigan State and Minnesota on their way to a undeafeated 5-0 record. This game will be a lot closer than 16 points. Ohio State 24 – Wisconsin 23.

NCAA Football “Lock of the Week” Betting Record: 2-3

Week 4 – Pick: Virginia Tech -17 – Final Score: Virginia Tech 34 at Duke 26 – Result: Loss

NCAA Football Parley Betting Record: 1-4

Week 4 – Picks: Virginia Tech -17 and Cincinnati -28.5 – Final Scores: Virginia Tech 34 at Duke 26 & Cincinnati 37 at Miami (OH) 13 – Result: Loss
